Transparent Labels on Desktop

When I select an image on my XP Desktop, the labels are displayed with a background colour of the original colour I used for the desktop.

I know you can switch on shadows for the labels which seems to remove the background colour but I think it looks crap.

Is there anyway of making the labels have a transparent background colour?

Please help.

Many Thanks
BB

Unfortunately not, the best thing you can do is match the colours as closely as possible.

I think you are referring to the color around the icons on your desktop BerbBrown, to make that color go transparent again right click on "My Computer" icon select "Properties" now select "Advanced" now "Performance" now you should see "Visual Effects" and some boxes, scroll down until you see "Use drop shadows for icon labels and buttons" and put a tick in the box, now the color should be gone. Hopefully this is what you were after.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
