Hi

I have a copy of laplink software but no cable. Do you know where I could get a suitably fast cable to link my Pentium II machine to my new Athlon XP system? I'm guessing a USB link would best. I don't want to pay more than a few pounds as I'll only need to transfer about 3GB once.

Thanks!

well if you have an ethernet card in both computers you could get a cat5e CROSSOVER cable. IT costs about $10 in canada so you should be able to pick one up for a few pounds at any computer store. Make sure its a crossover cable though.

No ethernet card :(

Both PC's each have a USB, a RS232 and a parallel port. No other ports. We're talking home user here, living alone so not even a home network.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
