OK, I have 2 hard drives (well, one partitioned twice). When I move the files from one to the other they copy themselves rather than just being moved. Is there a way round this, other than using cut and paste?

By default dragging files within a partition or drive will move, from one to another will copy.

Pressing Shift while dragging forces a move,
pressing Control while dragging forces a copy,
pressing Ctr+Shift while dragging creates shortcuts.

Or drag with the right mouse button and make your choice in the menu that comes up.

Let me know if you want a "copy to /move to" registry adjustment file.
Just double click to install.
Much easier and quicker than cut & paste.

yoyo's works. thanks mate.

roger, thanks for the offer but i wouldn't want to go around messing with registry when theres a simpler way. :)

thanks everyone.

DFX no problem.
I was however offering to email you an exe file that adjusts registry without entering regedit at all !
Have been using it for a year or so and saved a lot of time.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
