Touchpad/mouse problems w/XP

installed XP on my Compaq Presario 1675 laptop. noticed the touchpad/mouse has become over sensitive. It will begin to click on things without me pressing the button. Just moving my finger around the screen with the touchpad... Ideas??

any XP drivers for the touchpad?
had the same prob this end but went back to win2k on that lappy

no drivers that I can find (compaq.com)... I'll keep looking.

Try www.synaptics.com for drivers for Win 2K. They are working fine with my Presario 12XL325

went to the link and downloaded the newest touchpad driver for XP and everything works GREAT... no more erratic behavior!!

actually, take back what I said... I thought it worked, but it really didn't... still the same irratic behavior.. I'll keep trying..
