Iam getting rather anoyed with these dam tooltips...
like on the welcome screen when you get a tool tip you cant login till youve clicked the tooltip.. is there a way to make the tooltips delay a bit longer before appearing.. thanx

If you dont like them you can disable them using

Using Local Group Policy Editor, or gpedit for short.

To invoke this editor, select Start and then Run, then type the following: gpedit.msc After you hit ENTER, you'll be greeted by gpedit, which lets you modify virtually every feature in Windows XP.

Go to "User Configuration" >> Administrative Templates >>> Start Menu and Taskbar... Scroll Down in the right Pane ..... and you will see "Remove Ballon Tips on Start Menu" Just doubleclick on that. Choose Enable or Disable


or just download this regfile , right click on it and choose merge = goodbye To0l tips 🙂

according to stretch's post, he has xp home...gpedit is not available on home...power tools can dissable your ballons if you have it, if you don't, ask someone on this forum to email the zip to you, as it's not available anymore
