tooltip problem

One thing I've noticed with XP is the taskbar tooltips are always underneath the taskbar, so I can't read them. This is really annoying.
Is it just me, or is everyone getting this?

I've only gotten it when using themes other then a default windows theme like silver or such..Are you using a 3rd party theme and notice this?

nope. The first thing I did after installing XP was change to the boring plain old "classic" theme because it is faster.

When I get home I'll have to try enabling themes to see if it makes any difference.

I have the task bar set to "always-on-top" which is default but the tooltips should still be above it.

It's particularly frustrating when trying to view the useful tooltips given by programs that reside in the system tray.

so it is just me then. hmmmm...

hmm I just realised it's not happening all the time. Maybe some software I use is doing it.
