Is there a way to make Windows recognise it as a mail client in the start menu?

At the moment mine gives me the option of MSN Explorer, Hotmail and Outlook Express.

I know I can just create a shortcut and pin it, but can you do it this way?

Set it as your default mail client in Internet Options ?
(if that doesn't appear, then open thunderbird, open the options and tick the option to make it the default client.. then see if its listed)

attachment.php

.

heh, did you miss the tick box? I normally miss it and I know it's there. They need a hooj button like FireBird :p

I did miss it :)

One thing, is there a way to import messages from outlook into thunderbird?

As you may have guessed, i'm REALLY pissed at microsoft applications at the moment, mainly IE, OE and Messenger so i'm finding alternatives

Yep, it's quite easy to migrate all your emails/contacts from Outlook or OE. TBird is awesome :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
