Thief III: Deadly Shadows is set to be released on PC and XBox on May 26th.
It changed the idea of what a game should be. It was the first "stealth" game ever made. It doesn't really fit into the genre of "shooter", because most of the time you spend in the game is sneaking around, grabbing stuff, bonking people over the head, and hiding the bodies. There is very little head-on fighting, and that's what makes it so great.
Personally, I have been waiting a long, long time for this. The first two Thief games were probably on a very short list of games I consider legendary. If you've never played them, I encourage you to do so. You can usually buy them both in a pack for very little money.
Thief III could be everything its predecessors are and more. Take a look at some screenshots. If the gameplay matches up, you can bet on this being a huge hit.
