Thermaltake unleashes the BigTyp VP CPU cooler

I have a MiniTyphoon from Thermaltake. The fan has sleeve bearings. It died after about 14 months. I can't believe a $60 CPU cooler wouldn't have ball bearings, but it didn't and I'd suspect this one doesn't have them either. The mini also had those stupid accessory fans that do nothing other than get in the way. That said, it keeps my processor at idle around 90F and under load at 115F. The stock AMD cooler was about 100F and 135F respectively.

looks funky - i would make sure it fits into your case :p

Just look to the right of the picture. That's a pretty bad rating.

Hmm Im actually in the market for a new fan. What do you guys think of this one.

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme <Best CPU cooler I've ever owned. Currently have 4 of them.

The two coolers below are also very good.

The
Zalman CNPS9500 is good for Core 2 Duo. It couldn't keep up with an overclocked QX6700 though.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
