I just loaded a new theme yesterday, and I'm almost certain that I see better performance from Windows since doing it. Folders seem to open more quickly, icons seem to refresh faster, etc. I have not restarted my system and so it's not that things have been freshly loaded lately. I've never really seen it stated that certain themes might degrade system performance or vice versa, but it sure seems that this is the case. Possible?

some themes take up more memory than others... depending on your other resources this may or may not be the reason for slower performance in windows..

I believe it has to do with the images used when creating the theme with StyleBuilder. The themes that are faster and use less resources are usually the ones that were created using optimized images.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
