the picture before the Windows XP Boot screen

Hey

I dont know if this is right place for this but here it goes.

I have a compaq computer and everytime I turn it on theres a black screen with a red COMPAQ on it.

My question is if its possible to change it to a different picture.
So is it?

Not without altering your BIOS. Unfortunately Compaq doesn't offer to change the BIOS screen, so you're stuck with it. Unless you find some site who has a download available with another download screen, but that means alatering your BIOS with a non-Compaq BIOS and that could damage your system and then it's bye bye guarantee (if you still are in your warranty).

that sucks. Ive been in my BIOS and its pretty much nothing, Compaq blocked everything in there.

There should be an option like "Silent boot" in the BIOS. That's how I disabled the damn TINY logo on my laptop.
