The Blackjack Phone Question.

am using a v3 right now but i want to buy the blackjack. so here is my question. if i were to use my v3 SIM card and put it into the blackjack, will it works? or do i have to go to my carrier and ask them to unlock it? BTW am using T-Mobile.

Last I knew, the 8525 and BlackJack required an updated SIM card ($18.00 fee) in order to work.
