The beep!

Is it really necessary to have that beep when you boot up your computer. I mean, I know if something wasnt installed correctly, you could get a couple beeps to help identify a problem, but it annoys me. Am I able to disconnect it?

Yeah, you can unplug your system speaker. There may even be an option in your bios to turn it off, not sure though.
