you can open up the network adapter properties for your connection...uninstall tcp/ip, then re-install it

or just try setting everything to obtain automatically and make sure all fields are clear and see if you can connect via DHCP.

Yeah, what he said. But you shouldn't have to speficy any IP or DNS. Most ISP's support dynamic configuration nowadays. You should call your ISP's tech support for help with this, it's their responsability to give you the settings you need to have.

Did you check their web site? maybe they have a support section where you can see instructions, it's the first place to check...

I assume you are trying to enter a static Ip along with DNS servers.
Have you tried ipconfig /release followed by a ipconfig /renew?
If that doesn't work try reading this article at MS:
How to Reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Windows XP (Q299357)

And you can't uninstall TCP/IP in XP. MS has made it a 'core' component.
If someone knows how, I sure could have used you last week!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
