Task bar issue

I'm using a custom visual style for xp..I have the taskbar along the left hand side of the screen. The problem I'm having is after every restart it goes back to the bottom and I have to redo everything and drag the taskbar over to the left and reset all the added toolbars. Anyone have any idea how to stop this from happening?

after you move the taskbar, do you set it to locked?

Yea, tried that, still goes back to the bottom.

Have a look at this. Might do what you need. I just came across it. I have not tried it.
