I want to format a partition but the system is using the "system volume information" folder on the empty drive. I turned off monitoring for the drive, but it still won't let me delete it or format it. Can I format it using a floppy boot disc or will that screw something up?

ya, you'd have to format it using a boot disk or the winxp disk. system volume information is used for purposes otehr then sys restore and will always exist otherwise

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
