System tray vs. Taskbar

I have multible programs running all day, mIRC, SecureFX, Outlook Express and such - on top of that I have my browser windows open and I really hate it when they all compile into one bar with a number.

So how do I get the programs I don't look at to go into the system tray(isn't it called that? the one in the lower right corner with the clock in it) 🙂

there's a neat tool called powermenu, it's free and can minimize to system tray (notification area)
