System Tray Clock?

hey i was just over at my friend's place and i noticed that in the system tray he doens't have the clock, how do you show/hide the system clock in the taskbar coz i wanna get it back for him?

1) right click on the start menu
2) go to properties
3) (un)check "show the clock"
