"system" screensaver

Does anyone know a trick to change the system screensaver?!?

When no ones logged on it goes back to the WinXp logon saver, but you already know that :D...

You can try deleting the offending default screensaver and renaming one of the others to take its place. This should do it as long as it's not on the protected files list.

The idea is to copy the screensaver that you want to use to another directory, rename it to "scrnsave.scr", and then either from a DOS prompt (use a boot disk to get this) copy this 'new' system screensaver to both \Windows\System32\ AND to \Windows\System32\Dllcache\ OVERWRITING both of the originals. (It's easier if you're duel booting, just go into the other OS and do the copying.

You can change it in the registry. Can't remember where, but you can search for logon.scr and see what you find

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
