System Idle Process for WinXP

Yes, the System Idle Process runs only when no other processes are using the CPU. When the CPU is idle, the System Idle Process sends special halt (HLT) instructions that temporarily suspend the CPU (which effectively saves power and keeps the CPU cool)

It's normal ... don't worry about it :)

Ya gotta remember though alot of the time the HLT feature doesn't work correctly. Hence why programs like Rainfall, CPUidle etc came around which are much more efficient at setting the mobo's Disconnect bit

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
