is it affecting your system at all? and do you have any services disabled?

cause lemme tell you my event log has TONS of errors every bootup from me having services disabled and random other Bs but most of it is irrelevant and does not affect my comps performance or stability at all...or if ti does it takes longer then being on for a month straight to notice :)

Hi Qumahlin

Thanks for the reply... I have been tweaking the system with changes to the registry and some disabling some services as well.. this could be the results. However I'm not sure which is the one as there are just too many changes I have made... Anyway it does not affect the system but just annoyed when error messages appears on the screen continously.. being a techie would definitely be irritated with it and want to fix it. Thanks again !!!

this is a known XP bug and damn i wish MS woudl fix it. it annoyed me continuously for 2 days until i found the fix.

right click on my conputer, properties, advanced tab, error reporting button and check disable error reporting. :D

I did that but the error still appear ... really annoying

I don't think he is talking about error reporting, I believe he is referring to the Event Log which shows you all errors regardless of whether or not they pop up, alot of them are irrelavent but can greatly help if you ever have an actual problem

like the stupid IMAPI CD Burning Service.

I get a DCOM error everytime i start up or open Nero :)

re: existenz

enable the service and the error is gone, I had the same problem

Yes, i know.

But i don't want it enabled.

I was making a point of how you can have errors in your event log, which won't affect your computer. :)

sorry for the misunderstanding...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
