System doesn't want to go into Aero

anyone have a clue why? My rating is 5.1....

You can try running the system assessment test again. Type "perf" into the Start menu box, and select Performance Information and Tools. Then click the "Update my score" link.

Also, check to see if the Aero theme is available. Right-click the desktop, and select Personalize. Select "Window color and appearance" and then click "Open classic appearance properties." Make sure "Windows Aero" is selected as the color scheme.

It's in Basic right now.. I keep selecting Aero but then it just goes back to basic..

Hmm...was it working before? If so, can you recall when it stopped working? Did you install different display drivers?

I think its the dreamscape theme. I downloaded it and it has stopped working since.

Did you try uninstalling Dream Scene?
