Hi all,
I have sygate personal firewall installed, and after going to thier site and doing a test to see if my computer was protected the result read that all ports were blocked exept for port 80 (web) which is only closed. Is this anything to worry about and if so how do I block it.I have looked on sygates site but the answer is not there.
Thanks in advance for any help

do you have IIS running or installed on your comp? also what type of connection do you use? dialup? DSL? Cable? alot of DSL providers and almost all cable block port 80 outgoing anyway, and if your on dialup you wouldn't have to worry.

it's Internet Information Services. it's the webserver in XP unless you choose to install it, it isn't installed so you probably don't have anything to worry about. The reason port 80 came back as closed and not blocked is probably because your ISP is already blocking it.
