switch question

hmm quick question on switches. Does the line that is being ran from another switch have to be cross over? i can't remember what i did with the other one but for somereason i don't think i did.

If you are plugging in from a port on your switch to a port on another switch (not an uplink port), you need to use a cross.
 
Just an FYI, we started buying some cheap TrendNet 8-port switches at work, and they'll use either...auto-senses the wiring standard used and adjusts. Not bad stuff for around $20.
