I have to build a pentium computer from the ground up, but all of the systems I've built in the past have been AMD ones. My question is, would it be the same setup considering the chip placement, thermal grease, heatsink? or is it different? thanks

Well, yes :)

Only different things will be mobo chipset, HSF...that's about all I believe.

what I meant is that if there is a different way in which to install the HSF for example, thanx for the reply

Pentium HSF's are easier to put in. Just plonk it into the guides and secure the levers.

Apart from that you won't find any difficulties. Its mostly self explanatory when you really have a look at it.

Shouldn't be a problem. Intel is easier since you don't need to be as cardful with the HSF as on an AMD because if it's construction. Don't forget the 4-pin 12V line though! :)

Extra power plug to put into the motherboard

It has 4 pins in a 2x2 arrangement... u won't miss it

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
