Stuck in XP recovery console

When I turn on the computer a prompt screen comes up with an option to run vista or to run a previous windows system. I accidently chose to run a previous system and now I'm stuck in the XP recovery console. Everytime i restart it goes straight to the XP recovery console. How do I get back into Vista?
