Stubborn CD Rom

Hello all: Been having a problem with my D drive. I have the auto run option turned on but when i install a CD the light in the Rom comes on but nothing happens. If i reboot everything works fine for one time and then it won't work again till I reboot again. If I try to run it manually nothing happens till I reboot again. I also have my System Mechanic option to auto run turned on
Any Ideas?

is the disc scratched? can you run another disc?

Thanx for the reply but it acts up with any CD.

I think I have discovered the problem.........Real One player seems to be the culprit.

Has anyone else had this problem?
