STRONGHOLD shut down

The deal is that after installing XP on a PC Stronghold would work up to a certain part in a level and shut down.the details are below

1 It is at a certain time the game shuts down.

2 The hard disk isn't used after the game has loaded (as can be seen by the activity LED) but when the is just about to shutdown the HD starts up(might seem ligical but it is weird)

3 Geforce2MX40064MB WINXP 21.83 Drivers installed

I haven't a clue what is wrong and i'm not going to unistall XP as it is very very good. Also the TV out is way better than in ME.

Please help me!

Get the latest Patches for the game

Go to windows UPdate and update

Enable disk cacheing on your hard drive

If you follow waddys "boot speed guide " disk cacheing will be auto installed

Ok.......but

This is my story...

It a friends computer that has the computer and game and they don't have access to the internet.

I can't get the update form windows as i have Win98.

What should i do?
