Stop the parallel port driver loading. ?

as it says, its disabled in BIOS, as a gaming tweak. now can i stop the driver trying to load ?

or is this going to be 1 of the issues that my next format will take care of ?

not sure. if it's disabled in the bios, the OS shouldn't even think you have one. i'm positive your next format will fix that one. while you're at it, disable those ancient com ports, too.

LOL they are disabled, windows insists the parallel ports still there though....

I may not be up to speed here but what gaming tweak is that?

Try this
Open device manager > view > show hidden devices
You might see it in there, try disabling or even uninstall it.

I disabled my parallel port in the bios since everything I have, printer included, is USB. I was able to save some system resources and Windows doesn't see the port in Device Manager.

no as windows cant load it, its not there.

the age old gaming tweak of turn all the crap off that you dont use.

i kinda need to know where the string is to load the parallel driver.
