A Friend of mine Got the following error message,

bad_pool_caller
stop:0x000000c2c,0x00000007,0x00000cd4,0x0000000e,0xe101a050

Instaling Windows XP went smooth,
Had a problem with Abit AU10 5.1 sound card ( not instaled by windows ).
Added a win 2000 driver and working.

Stil got that blue screen error,
Error: \windows\system32\config\system
Error: bad_pool_caller
stop:0x000000c2c,0x00000007,0x00000cd4,0x0000000e,0xe101a050

HELP !
Warm Regards

Is it always appearing or is it random(ish)? Cos i had a similar problem and traced it to a HHD cooling problem. XP seems to superheat my HHD (u coiuld fry eggs on it!!)

We did a clean Instal yesterday,
Deleted the partition on HD, made the new one and booted from CD to instal Win XP. Windows did the formating the HD to NTFS.

This error happened only once,

Thanks

ensure you have XP patches up to date.

also i think it was the nivdea range of videocards that had that error quite often

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
