Startup Beep

Since Friday, when windows boots to desktop, after all notification items load, I get a load error beep, no windows telling me what the error is.

Any ideas what is causing the problem?

Your motherboard manual might tell you what it means.

Not a hardware issue, it does not happen with no startup items loaded.

Had that happen on my old machine around the time I installed SP2.....could never figure out what it was.

Went away after fresh install of XP with SP2 slipstreamed.

Well I solved the problem by 10 to 5 to 1 elimination, getright notification icon and startup process had become corrupt, all sorted, :up:
