start/task bar

hi all
i'm new here
can anybody tell me how to get win xp to remember my task bar settings i have to keep adding a new toolbar every time i boot up windows because windows reverts to the default every time it used to do it no probelem before i reformatted/reinstalled
any help appreciated

have you locked the task bar after you set it?...if not, after you make your settings, right click in the taskbar, and check "lock taskbar"

tried both locked /unlocked still no joy
i did uninstall customizer xp before this happened
would that have done anything ?
