start/prog list to short

when I go to my start/programs they always open with the list shortened and
I have to go the arrow at the bottom of the list to fully extend it, is
there a way to set them so that the list opens fully opened.

right click on a blank area of your taskbar> properties> 'start menu' tab> 'customize' button> untick 'use personalized menus' at the bottom of the list.

Right click on the start button, choose properties then customize. look down the list and untick use personalised menus.
