Start menu slow

hi, I don't know if this is really a problem that I can change or if it's even a problem at all. I use the classic start menu instead of the new xp menu. Whenever I open the start menu, then programs menu, it seems to take like an extra split second to show what's in each folder. It's kinda annoying, but if there's nothing that can really be changed then I guess I'll have to live with it. Anyone know anything that I could possibly change to get my start menu to go faster?

I had to go to the display properties and turn off the " Shadow menus " effect.

heh thanks, I thought I had that turned off, my start menu's working better now. :-D
