Start Menu Order disrupted

When I install a program usually the Start Menu autoarranges itself. For a while it stopped, and I had to use the "Sort By Name" every time I install a program. Is there any way to re enable the auto arrange for the Start Menu ?

Autoarrange? Never heard of that...I have always right-clicked and sort by name. If anyone know how to autoarrange as you say, I would like to know🙂

there is no auto arrange for the start menu, only for the desktop.
maybe you just happened to install things in alphabetical order?!

try going into c:/documents and settings/<your user name here>/Start Menu/Programs and right click and go auto arrange

and also try going into c:/documents and settings/Sll Users/Start Menu/Programs and right click and go auto arrange
