Start Menu Folder Renaming Problem

Hi There...

I'm trying to rename a folder called 'New Games' to 'Games' on my Start menu, but I keep getting the following error message;

"Cannot rename New Games: A file with the name you specified already exists. Specify a different file name."

Only problem is that there isn't a file called 'Games'!

I've looked in;

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\Bablos\Start Menu\Programs

Nothing called 'Games' at all.

Anyone know what the problem is? What I'm doing wrong?

Hope someone can help!

XP makes a folder called games. If you can't see it then something must have happened to it. Try going one more folder in to here Start\Programs\Accessories I think. I move mine around & can't remember the default for the games folder. Make a games folder there then move it to where you want. Who knows it might cooperate.

Hi There...

Nope, no such luck - if I create the folder elsewhere, then try to move it in, it just says that a folder called 'Games' already exists.

But it doesn't! Help! How can I stop it doing this?

Hi There...

Considering I only built this machine at the weekend, I'm not about to reinstall the OS just so that I can rename a single folder.

There must be a way to solve this.
