I ran into problems where my Symantec Corp. Edition 8.1.1.134 anti-virus application was not finding the scan engine and also the RealTime File Protection was being disabled. I ran SpyBot and got this report:

Error during check!: Xuron55.Installdollars (Datei C:\WINDOWS\win.ini kann nicht geöffnet werden. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process) ()

So it looks like SpyBot couldn't remove it. I went to the directory to check win.ini and started scrolling down, but the scroll button stopped, I let it go and it went up on it's own. This happened twice more so I suspected an intruder, disconnected my ethernet cable and was able to scroll down to win.ini

After re-installing the anit-virus Xuron55 was not detected. I found nothing about Xuron55 after a search at the Symantec Security Resp page or at this forum.

I would like some help to know what to remove with this highjackthis.log:

Thank you.

Install Microsoft Antispyware, then reboot in safe mode and run it.

You should be able to remove that file then and completely get rid of the spyware.

Have HJT fix:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSBios] C:\WINDOWS\msup.exe -send
O23 - Service: MS Collector (MSCollector) - Motorola - C:\WINDOWS\system32\AssetInfoCollector.exe

Reboot into safemode, tap F8 at boot, and delete:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\AssetInfoCollector.exe <--file
C:\WINDOWS\msup.exe <--file

Reboot and post a new log.

I also notice you are running BlackIce firewall, it has a terrible record, I would uninstall it and install Sygate personal firewall.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
