Speeding up Program Termination in Taskmanager

Hi,

I have noticed that when I press "end process" in order to terminate a program that has locked up, there is sometimes a very long wait period (15-30+ seconds) before the frozen program is actually shut down.

Is there a reg key or setting to speed up the timeout process? Ideally, when I press "end process" the program would terminate within one or two seconds.

Thanks!

If you a bit further along than a noob try doing a search for a program called 'enditall'. Works great for closing applications of your choice. It will either close or kill programs.

AutoEndTasks to 1

Thanks Tbird, that sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I'll give it a go.
