speaking of XP CD Keys...

currently i have XP loaded on my computer. i wanted to reformat and reinstall... however... i cant find my CD case that has my key on it (i just have my CD).

where in XP (a .txt, .doc, or something) can i look to find my OWN cd key? its got to be in my computer somewhere, doesn't it?

Actually no. It changes it to a different value in case you get hacked so it can't be used by anyone else. You'll need to call Microsoft and get a new key. Sorry.
