I thought that one of you guys might be able to help me with this.
I just bought a GeForce4 420 Mx PCI and when I put it in my computer, it works fine, until i install the drivers. After the driver installation and restarting the computer, it boots up fine, but then after about 20 seconds it freezes.
So here is what I did: I took out my sound card (Creative Soundblaster Live X-Gamer) and now it works fine. But of course.....I want both video and sound.
Is this because the cards might be sharing the same IRQ? I've had them in many different slots already..........
I have a Pentium 3 800 with an Asus Mew-Am motherboard, 4 pci slots and no agp.
What can I do to have the cards in the computer at the same time and it still works?????
