did either of these programs do what you want?
I know of some stream rippers and also programs that act as a sound card and intercept the signal.

If you use sound forge, you should be able to record anything that passes thru your sound card

yep sound forge will just record anything that goes through your sound card, i recorded the pet shop boys web cast with sound forge 5 enhanced it a bit and burned it to cd, sounds like id bought it! :D

Windows Media Recorder allows you to record Windows Media stream video and audio clips from the Internet and save them to your hard drive.

How to record Shoutcast streams

How to record Real Audio streams

Total Recoder records streaming audio, Mic input, Line-in input as well as CDs and DVDs. The resulting files are saved on your computer's hard-drive.
It can digitally intercept and record any sound using wave out or direct sound ouputs.

Streambox VCR records all sorts of streaming formats including asf, real, wmv, etc. You should try to get the older version from this site as the authors were sued by RealNetworks and the newer versions were crippled. It is also illegal to use this program in the US.

ASFRecorder is a tool to download and store WindowsMedia streaming content to your hard drive.

unF**k de-protects wma files.

Old WMA plugin for Winamp lets you use wma and DSP and diskwriter at the same time.

Is that enough? :D

Sound forge pro is 400, the home version is only around $50, but you should be able to get a demo or something on the web, or just IM or PM me

I have sound forge 5, is that different to pro??, it does everything
i can even take crackles and pops from old records

each version of sound forge (4,5, xp, etc) have both a home and professional version. The home version is most of what anyone would ever need.
