Sound Not Working

My sound just stopped working. For no apparent reason. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?

Just so you know, I'm running Windows Server 2003 on a Pentium III 500Mhz with 512MB of SDRAM and a 19GB hard drive.

I don't run 2003 Server, but know that there have been issues with the Audio Service being disabled. 2003 is a SERVER OS so it is not meant to be used as a desktop, so stuff like sound isn't necessarily used when running a server.

Yea that was the first thing I checked, but the audio service is enabled as always.

I get the same problem sometimes.

He's what I do Click My Computer/Control Panel/Sound & Audio Devices/Advanced. Make sure the WAVE adjustment is about 3/4 to the top, also check the Volume.

Delete the sound drivers and reinstall em. I had the same problem on xp pro with 1 speaker working the other not working once. Just deleteddrivers and reinstalled them.

{Duh-he is sayin he already done that}

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
