I clean installed XP on my computer. But my sound does not seem to work. It says there is no audio device. So I am trying to update my sound cardm but, i need something off the internet. I got some drivers, but when I try to install, it gives me a warning, that says "it does not recommend it.""might cause trouble or something like that" I have an Asound Express PCI. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like the drivers have not yet been 'certified' by microsoft. If you are sure you have the right drivers then go ahead & install them. Ignore the warnings. 😀

If you donwloaded them off the company's website...they are fine. Most companies have ceased trying to get WHQL certification because it takes a hell of a lot longer then it should. Just choose continue anyway and if any problems did occur you could simply remove the drivers.
