Sound Blaster Live 5.1

I have a soundblaster live 5.1 and sense i installed xp it has had a problem with static. it seems that it gets staticy with some bass tones... I have also installed the xp drivers for it, so its not that...

install the soundblaster drivers from their site.
also if oyu have a VIA chipset motherboard, install the via 4-in-1
if you have a optical mouse, ensure LINE IN is disabled/muted.

is there an issue with optical mice?? i have this card and im getting an optical mouse. should i be worried?

i have installed drivers and dont have a via chipset or a optical mouse... i had already came to those conclutions... just cant get passed it...

change PCI slots

worked for me
