sound Blaster Audigy

I have noticed now that this sound card is really screwed up- making very drasticly wiered noises at unpredictable times.

I would like to know what each software package does so that I don't install the stuff that bogs my system down. Can anyone help me out here?

my Audigy works fine the only things I have installed are..
AudioHQ
Creative Diagnostics2
Creative Eax
Surround Mixer
Taskbar

I would uninstall everything and get the Updated drivers from soundblaster here is the link....Hope this works
