Sony DRU-510A Fu*ked?

Was Copying a home made dvd using Clone DVD. Put the blank DVD in started to burn then computer crashed. Now when you plug the drive in all it does is flash the light. Bios reconised it but windows cant. Oh and the eject butrton doesn't work.

Is there a way to reset it?

u can try getting the bad dvd out with a paper clip and the eject hole. otherwise a bios flash is another way. but no real way to reset it as far as i know.

Why bother to reset it?

RMA the POS and look for another brand. Let them keep the blank.

Any attempt by you to repair the unit can be used as an excuse to void your warantee.

Technicians get paid to repair defective drives. We're consumers. Note the difference, we pay them and should get good product not do free troubleshooting.
