Hi, ive got some type of hardware problem. here it goes.
abour 2 months ago i installed a new ram stick. and ever since then if been getting an error when i close down programs (check the attachment please) . if anyone knows if it is my ram or whatever is causing this problem could you please help me out :)
and i also dont want to lose my ram because 128 is to low (im currently at 256)

switch the locations of the sticks in the Dimm slots, if the error is fixed then you have a prob with the stick currently in DIMM 1, if the problem either continues or gets worse then it is the stick in the DIMM 2 slot, which ever one seems to be causing the error should be replaced.
You should also testing each stick separately in the PC and see which one the error occurs with.

thanx

well i found out which ram was doing it. im gonna keep it in because it isnt to big of an error jsut happens after i close a program.

true dat

i guess i should. ill go buy sometime better memory this one is just a cheap one

I would go for it spend a bit more money and get a Crucial or some name brand stick like that, they are less likely to fail.

Glad you found out which stick was failing

yah thanx

thanx to everyone who helped im probably gonna buy a 256 stick.

*BUMP*

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
