I seem to have a problem where my registry refuse to store some information. For example; the Quick Launch bar rezizes after every reboot to it's original size.

I need help with this.

Thanks in advance!

Are you locking the taskbar? What other settings are not being saved?

Hmm... the window setup in My Computer. I select 'arrange by type' and 'show labels'. This is not saved either. I can't think of any other setting, but there might be more...

Okay, in Explorer you need to set up the folder the way you want it then click on Tools, Folder Options, View and put a tick in "remember each folder's settings". Then click on the Apply To All Folders Button. That should solve that problem.

As for the taskbar / QL Bar, right click on the task bar and lock it.

Does this help or is the problem still there?

I usually have it locked, so it doesn't help. I'll try the "remember each folder's settings" setting...

I have similar problems XP not remembering my folder settings. I tried everything I found even a registry tweak (something about MRU bags). Nothing worked, maybe you'll have to live with it. As someone said "It is still Windows"

yup, same damn folder problem. Damn, is this still beta XP, let's work out all the bugs, hehehe

Well, it's still this Quick Launch problem. This is after a fresh re-install so I'm kinda puzzled...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
