Slow Printer job cancel in XP - Help Pls

I use XP Home. When I give a document to print and if I want to cancel the job, I double click the printer icon on taskbar and click cancel. It is taking almost 5min and more to cancel the job. In Win98 and Win ME it used to be fast. Do I need to change anything? Help me.

Windows XP recognised my Printer Epson 740 and loaded drivers properly.

Use print direct to Printer that way the document is not stored on your drive. Here's a Pic.

I tried it as per ur advice. Now Document takes long to go to print (i.e., the bar fills slowly) and during that period, I cannot continue to use the program. I downloaded Win 2000 driver from epson support site and installed it. I will check the function now and let you know.

Make sure that your printer port is set to ECP

What is ECP? I could not find it in Printer properties under Ports.
