Slow LAN

Well I finally broke down and installed XP. All is good but this
slow share. When I connect to my XP PC from win98 its fast.
When I connect to win98 PC its slow as heck ? I deleted that key mentioned and it didnt have any affect at all. Anyone have a resolution cause microsoft sure has nothing on it.

hub = 3com for xp and 3com for win98. I never had a
problem with win98. Xp LAn is just slow. My internet
is fine its just from xp to my win98 that is slow.
